Editing

20-03-14

We are now starting to edit the footage using adobe premiere pro, because we pre-edited it will make editing easier and quicker because we already know when each clip will start and finish.

My Role in Editing:

  • To put 'in points' into the music so that the song becomes shorter and will fit the footage

  • Add a title and end credits to makes the music video look professional

  • Add transitions (fade in/out, cut and wipe) to make the video flow and to change the pace

  • To change the brightness of each clip giving the illusions that it is getting darker as the story develops

  • Cut the footage down to precision so that the video flows and not jumps

  • Finally check for any errors like continuity or brightness issues and correct them

  • To render the finished music video and save it

These images are of the titles I added to the timeline to introduce the music video and to end it. I created these titles by clicking on the 'title' button then clicking on new title then default still. We all then chose witch colour and font.

This is the complete timeline of footage and the audio, we have rendered it and checked it over for an errors.

This is an image of our imported files, we have imported our footage, audio, titles and images that we then clicked on, edited and dragged down onto the timeline.

This picture is of the audio that we had to put in and out points on so that we could break up the song and use it in other areas of the video.

We have finished editing

We have finished editing our music video, it is now complete and we are happy with the results. Whilst editing we removed parts of the video because it jumped locations or did no longer fit the story.. We also cut some of the clips down so that the lyrics in the song would fit a certain piece of footage.
